10 Beauty Tips of the week

Hair Rules

1. When choosing a hairstyle always consider the shape structure of your face. People faces vary in different shapes and sizes and by doing this it can help decide what styles will look appealing to the face. *Remember* Every hairstyle does not fit every face.

2. When deciding what color to use on your hair ALWAYS make sure the color matches your skin tone. *Note* In the winter your skin tone tends to lighten and darkens in the summer.

3. When wearing weaves you should always match your natural hair color to the weave. Looking at the ends of your hair then the roots. * When coloring your hair if your stylist starts your color at the roots first, your roots will come out lighter than the ends of your hair*.

4. When conditioning hair you should always use a deep penetrating conditioner to penetrate the root and hair follicle. *Note* When rinsing conditioner, always use cool water and a wide tooth comb to detangle.

5. FYI- You should never apply grease to your scalp. Your hair produces its own natural grease and by applying grease it clogs your pores. If you are experiencing dry scalp you should use medicated shampoo to penetrate the hair followed by moisturizing conditioner. Medicated shampoos tend to make the hair dry.

Make-up Rules

1. When applying foundation to the face always use a foundation brush. Foundation brushes allows the foundation to go on more evenly on the face.

2.When using eyeshadow you should ALWAYS put a base on first and then apply the eyeshadow. The base allows the eyeshadow to show brighter.

3. If you lighten or darken the color of your eyebrows you should use a eyebrow brush to shape and add precision.

4.If you are applying lipstick or lip-gloss you should always use a lip moisturizer first. By using a moisturizer first this will allow the lipstick or lip-gloss to stay on longer.

5. When using eye shadows and lipsticks you should always use colors to match your skin tone. If you are a lighter skin tone you should use browns and golds. If you are darker skin tone you should use blues and purple colors.
